Alpaca Blend is a nutritious feed formulated for growing and lactating alpacas and llamas, and is also suitable for maintenance. The blend consists of grains and pellets coated in molasses and vegetable oil.

Feeding Recommendations:

• Daily feed intake for maintenance: 1.2–1.5% of body weight

• Growing: 1.5–2.5% of body weight

• Late gestation: 1.5–2% of body weight

• Lactation: 1.5–3% of body weight

The portion of Alpaca Blend fed will vary depending on factors such as body weight, condition, pregnancy, lactation (milk production level), activity, and quality of roughage. Blend typically makes up 10–75% of total daily feed intake. Roughage is essential and should be available at all times.

Introduce Alpaca Blend gradually, avoiding sudden dietary changes to prevent digestive upset. If digestive issues occur, reduce the amount of blend and increase roughage until normal digestive function resumes.

Alpacas and llamas are prone to choke if consuming feed too quickly; feeding practices should slow their rate of intake.

Dual Purpose:
Alpaca Blend is also suitable for other ruminants, including sheep, cattle, goats, and deer. Roughage and clean, fresh water should be available at all times.
