Feeding Guide

RIVERINA HORSE & PONY PELLETS should always be fed with chaff, hay, and/or pasture. The daily feeding rates below are a guideline and may need adjustment depending on your horse’s condition and the quality of roughage.

Light Work:

  • 300 kg horse: 1.5–3.0 kg/day

  • 400 kg horse: 2.0–3.5 kg/day

  • 500 kg horse: 2.5–4.0 kg/day

  • 600 kg horse: 3.0–4.5 kg/day

Moderate Work:

  • 300 kg horse: 2.0–3.5 kg/day

  • 400 kg horse: 3.0–4.5 kg/day

  • 500 kg horse: 4.0–5.5 kg/day

  • 600 kg horse: 5.0–6.5 kg/day

  • Split the daily feed into two meals.

  • If pasture is limited, provide a minimum of 1% of bodyweight in hay and/or chaff.

  • Introduce new feed gradually over 10–14 days.

  • Always provide access to cool, clean, fresh water.
