Vetsense Cocciprol (200g/kg Amprolium)
Vetsense Cocciprol
For the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in chickens (broilers, broiler breeders, replacement pullets), turkeys, ducks, and pigeons.
Cocciprol is administered via drinking water to help prevent economically significant strains of coccidiosis, including E. Tenella, E. Necatrix, and most strains of E. Acervulina.
Features
-
Easily mixed into daily drinking water
-
Suitable for both prevention and treatment
-
No withholding period for eggs or meat
Active Ingredient: 200 g/kg Amprolium (as Amprolium Hydrochloride)
Measurement Guide:
-
1 level teaspoon = 3 g
-
1 rounded teaspoon = 5 g
Dosage Instructions
Prevention:
-
Larger flocks: 5 g in 4 L of drinking water
-
Smaller flocks: 2.5 g (½ rounded tsp) in 2 L of drinking water
-
Administer for 24 hours every 4th day during high-risk periods. This interrupts the coccidia life cycle and encourages immunity development.
Treatment:
Stage 1 – Initial Treatment (5–7 days):
-
Larger flocks: 5 g in 4 L of drinking water
-
Smaller flocks: 2.5 g (½ rounded tsp) in 2 L of drinking water
Stage 2 – Gradual Reduction (5–7 days):
-
Larger flocks: 3 g in 4 L of drinking water
-
Smaller flocks: 1.5 g (½ level tsp) in 2 L of drinking water
This tapering helps birds develop immunity while maintaining some level of protection.
Administration
-
Premix the required dose in ½ litre of water until fully dissolved.
-
Add the solution to the remaining drinking water and mix thoroughly.
-
Example: Dissolve 5 g of Cocciprol in ½ litre, then add 3.5 L water to make a total of 4 L solution.
-
-
Prepare a fresh solution daily.
Important Notes:
-
Overdosing can cause birds to lose muscle condition and strength; signs include twisted necks and lameness.
-
Do not administer B-group vitamins while using Cocciprol.
